JOB SUMMARY:
Job Purpose
The MEAL and Reporting Officer is responsible for reporting, processing, analyzing and preserving qualitative and quantitative data of the data collected by MEAL using various MEAL tools that should be presented using various methods (report/Bower BI/ etc) as well as MEAL activities implemented make sure that the MEAL data was reported/presented in high quality according to and in line with required standards and framework as per the reporting schedule to maintain high-quality reports that meet the deadline. Keep robust MEAL data archived and accessible as per the standards and requirements. Work closely with the MEAL senior officer and MEAL coordinator also liaise effectively with other programme staff Program particularly reporting programme Officers to ensure the quality and timeframe where abide by.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with the other relevant staff, review, input and finalize writing of MEAL report and products.
- Revision of data and monitoring reports related to field activities (monthly/quarterly donor reports and other ad hoc reports and systematically analyze and follow-up the reporting schedule for MEAL related products and ensure the quality of the qualitative and quantitative collected, by following up the regular.
- Process and aggregate internal and external qualitative and quantitative reports, as per operational needs on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Lead in the coordination of editing narrative, MEAL reports and any other relevant document.
- Ensure the MEAL data, reports and products and relevant documents are of high quality, are in line with donor guidelines, formats and are submitted in timely manner within set HQ and donor deadlines and maintain accurate databases by monitoring and reviewing regular sources of information.
- Update internal and external databases on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Establish a clear reporting plan for MEAL department based on the reporting schedule and conduct the required coordination activities to obtain, analyze, utilize, and combine that data and various sources to ensure that it complies with the internal and external requirements and the reporting deadlines were met.
- Contribute to record of best practices and lessons learnt for the Projects in the different lessons learned templates and report in collaboration with relevant staff.
- Support needs assessments and service mapping in the context for the project design and strategic development.
- Accomplish additional tasks as requested by management.
Personal Specification (Experience / Education/Skills- Essential)
- Minimum 4 years of related experience with NGOs work experience (Info Management, Reporting, M&E).
- University degree in Business Administration MEAL Studies, Social Sciences, International Relations and or Development studies or any other relevant sector.
- Reporting skills (language, grammar, analysis, comparisons, etc.
- Strong communication, interpersonal & technical skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to take initiatives if required.
- Ability to multi-task effectively as well as display professionalism and confidence.
- To be ready to work overtime.
- Able to work effectively under & adapt to difficult conditions.
- Good report writing skills are a must.
- Familiarity of monitoring & evaluation instruments & documents is preferable.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Willingness & ability to travel within & outside the country.
Language
- Fluent Arabic and English (written and spoken) is a must.
IT skills
- MS proficiency (Word, Excel – proficient in formulas and charting, outlook).
- Deep knowledge/mastering in data presentation tools e.g., Power BI
