Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is currently recruiting for the position of Food Security and Livelihoods Coordinator, who is responsible for designing and implementing of food security and livelihood programs in adherence with Islamic Relief Worldwide – South Sudan (IRW-SS) and donor guidelines and standards. The FSL Coordinator takes overall responsibility for the quality and implementation of IRW’s FSL work in South Sudan providing leadership to the identification, design and implementation of FSL programming.
The successful candidate must have or be:
- A degree in social sciences/agriculture/economics/community development or any other related field. Relevant Post graduate studies in the field of project planning and management, public administration, gender studies, Food security and Livelihood programming, proposal writing are an advantage
- Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in Humanitarian or development work in an international environment in similar roles
- Good communicator in English, both written and oral
- Strong project cycle skills: assessments, design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and strategic planning skills.
- Flexible and able to live and work in stressful and insecure environments
