Salary:£48,144 per annum (possibility of job sharing)

Islamic Relief Worldwide are currently recruiting for the position of Business Development Manager who will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for developing IR Academy’s business. The job holder is responsible for developing and maintaining Academy's strategy, market position and achieve financial growth.

The role inter alia will strengthen the Humanitarian Academy for Development’s (HAD) relations with the wider humanitarian development community, and work closely with the 3 heads of departments, to develop new products and services and market them to potential donor agencies.

The successful candidate must have or be:

· Educated to Masters Level in any field of management, organisational development, Business Development or a relevant field or substantial experience in workforce development regardless to the sector

· Experience in working for an international NGO

· Excellent knowledge and sound understanding of the voluntary INGO sector and the business support needs that flow from this

· Significant experience in strategic planning for department and organisations

· Experience in developing and managing departmental and programme budgets

· Fluent written and spoken English; a working knowledge of Arabic or French is desirable

· Develops and maintains cooperative relationships with others at all levels of the organisation
