Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is currently recruiting for the position of Livelihoods Program Coordinator, responsible for ensuring effective implementation of the Interfaith Peacebuilding Partnership (CIPP) programming with a focus on equitable recovery of livelihood for vulnerable Central Africans. The post holder will be responsible for the implementation of the livelihood component of the CAR interfaith peacebuilding partnership (CIPP). The post holder will support businesses to improve their product/services, improve their processes and enter new market channels. In addition, the post holder will have background in agricultural production, market assessments and rural market linkages.
The successful candidate must have or be:
- A degree in social sciences/agriculture/economics/community development or any other related field. Relevant, Food security and Livelihood programming, proposal writing are an advantage
- Proven experience progressive experience in Humanitarian or development work in an international environment in similar roles
- Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written
- Broad experience in managing budgets and the ability to establish and maintain sound financial controls.
- Good team work skills with the ability to work with different and sometime conflicting agendas
