JOB PURPOSE:
The Project Officer (PO) will work under the overall direct supervision and guidance of the Head of Programs of IRW-PH. He / She will be responsible for direct project implementation of the Detailed Project Implementation Plan (DIP) of the SOAR Marawi Project. As a Technical Staff in the Programs Unit, he/she will render support to the Unit in terms of scoping for new project opportunities within the area of operation, provide inputs during program designing and proposal writing, liaise with relevant government agencies and pertinent institutions, including UN Agencies and other humanitarian actors in Lanao del Sur.
JOB SUMMARY
The main function of the Project Officer is to ensure the timely, effective, efficient and quality implementation of the activities under the SOAR – Marawi Project of IRPH. Working under the supervision of the Head of Programs, the PO will be the key staff in guaranteeing that the goals and objectives, including outcomes and outputs of the Project are achieved.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ensure the timely implementation of the Detailed Implementation Plan of the SOAR- Marawi Project;
· Prepares activity designs on every activities within the DIP in collaboration with the CDF;
· Submit monthly accomplishment reports to the Head of Programs following templates provided;
· Ensure that activity costs follow the approved Work and Financial Plan;
· Follow the IRW-IRPH financial policies and procedures in utilizing project funds;
· Coordinate with the Country Office Procurement and Logistics Unit in this aspect of project implementation;
· Work closely with the IRW-IRPH MEAL Unit in ensuring accountabilities and adherence to CHS guidelines, including providing technical input related to education or sustainable livelihoods;
· Organize project-related meetings with the key stakeholders in the area of operation;
· Coordinate trainings, workshops and other activities with the CDF, including working with Resource Persons and/or local consultants;
· Be familiar with, and ensure the adherence to, the organization’s policies and procedures.
· Abide by the Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS), NGO/Red Cross Code of Conduct, the People in Aid Code, HAP, and Islamic Relief’s policies and procedures (IHSAN)
· Facilitate and support disaster preparedness and public information activities identified;
· Assume any other assignment delegated by the Head of Programs.
