International Waqf Fund is a faith-inspired development and Endowment agency working since 2004 to transform the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in over 40 countries.

Our Birmingham, UK office is recruiting for the position on ‘Social Media Officer’ to join our Marketing Department. The department responsibilities include brand protection and reputation management; international media relations and advocacy; IWF’s website, publications and social media platforms; internal communications; and staff training.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Social Media Officer is responsible for the oversight and execution of social media activities throughout the year on multiple platforms to support news, advocacy, branding and PR.

The role will involve managing the front facing profile of IWF including Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, Instagram and You Tube and leading on social media aspects of various campaigns and key moments by gathering and sharing compelling social content.

The successful candidate must have or be:

  • Strong track record in strategic use of social media to contribute to organisational objectives
  • Experience in developing and implementing social media strategies and campaigns
  • Exposure to content strategies for social media (infographics, apps, video)
  • Experience in creating social media pages
  • Experience using social media monitoring tools such as Hootsuite and FollowerWonk
