JOB SUMMARY
SCOPE
The protection and inclusion Assistant will be working inside Syria to provide effective and efficient support to the implementation of the Program in the area of the IRW Syria operation.
duties and responsibilities:
· The Project Assistant will report to the program department and assist following protection and inclusion project activities, and reporting to the program team. The project assistant must work within the Program Management Act, Municipal policies and procedures and in compliance with all Islamic Relief Acts and Legislation.
Duties and responsibilities:
· To assist in the protection and inclusion projects implementation inside Syria.
· To assist in conducting the related needs assessment monitoring and evaluation for the implemented project or any other project if required.
· To assist in receive, organize, sort and record the project items for distribution.
· To coordinate with the local partners/targeted locations.
· To prepare the shares of the targeted people in the warehouse.
· To deliver the shares to the targeted locations.
· To assist in item tracking.
· To compile the beneficiary’s data with SAD disaggregation.
· Communicate & report on security or regulations when needed.
· To keep record of all project documents.
· To carry out other responsibilities and duties as requested by the line manager.
· To carry out and lead the implementation of Focus Group Discussions, Key Informants Interviews and other beneficiary engagement methods.
· To implement analysis tools such as conflict analysis, Gender Age Disability analysis, Problem tree analysis and Gender Analysis.
· To follow up and report on referral pathways implemented.
· To follow up and supervise GBV/Protection services implemented by local partners.
· Coordinate and follow-up with outreach workers working at health facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
• College /institute degree or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of related experience in the Field.
• Strong communication, interpersonal & technical skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Ability to take initiatives if required.
• Ability to multi-task effectively as well as display professionalism and confidence.
• Good IT and language skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, with short time frames, and in risky situations.
• Able to visit and network with health facilities in accessible areas inside Syria.
Language
· Good in English & fluent in Arabic (written and spoken).
IT skills
· Very Good computer skills.
· Proficiency in the internet and search tools.
· Proficiency in MS office and the ability to use software necessary for project management and reporting. (Excel and word are a must)
